Manoj Jarange Patil Granted Relief by Pune Court as Arrest Warrant Cancelled
Pune: Manoj Jarange Patil has received relief from the Pune court, which has cancelled the arrest warrant issued against him. Previously unable to attend due to illness, Jarange Patil appeared before the court today. His lawyer, Harshad Nimbalkar, confirmed that the court has cancelled the arrest warrant and set the next hearing date for September 3.
Jarange Patil’s absence at the previous hearing was explained by his lawyer. “The court had issued a warrant against Manoj Jarange Patil. He has appeared before the court today. He was absent on the previous date because he was on a hunger strike from the 20th to the 24th of July. His health was critical, and he could not come to court on July 23. Despite his condition, he appeared today in an ambulance, showing his respect for the court,” said Nimbalkar.
The court had issued the warrant after Jarange Patil failed to appear twice, despite being summoned. He was ordered to appear before the first-class judicial magistrate of Pune on August 2. Accordingly, Jarange Patil arrived in Pune around 2 a.m. last night.
The case against Manoj Jarange Patil stems from a complaint of fraud filed by Dhananjay Ghorpade of Warje against him. The complaint names Jarange Patil and two other individuals. Following the court’s order, a case was registered, and Jarange Patil was summoned twice to appear in court.
