Moraya Gosavi Sanjeevan Samadhi Mahotsav begins from December 17, Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat to be present
Pimpri: Shriman Mahasadhu Shri Moraya Gosavi Sanjeevan Samadhi Mahotsav will be held in Chinchwad from December 17 to 21. Various events such as religious programmes, semi-classical concerts, musical concerts and lectures will be organised. This is the 463rd year of the celebrations. Mandar Maharaj Dev revealed the details.
The Mahotsav, jointly organised by the Chinchwad Devasthan Trust, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and Chinchwad residents, will be inaugurated by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh Sarsanghchalak Dr Mohan Bhagwat at 5 pm on December 17.
During the Mahotsav from December 17 to 21, the Sanai-Chowghada will be played daily at 6 am by Nitin Daithankar at Samadhi Mandir and by Tukaram Daithankar at Shri Mangalmurti Wada. Moraya Gosavi Maharaj Charitra Pathan and Laxmi-Narayan Yaag by Shri Rabade Guruji will be conducted. Immediately after the inauguration on December 17, a lecture will be delivered on ‘Swatantryaveer Savarkar’ by Aparna Kulkarni.
Pt Sanjeev Abhyankar’s musical programme ‘Swarsanjeevan’ will be held at 8.30 pm on December 17.
On December 18, Sharadbua Ghag will deliver a Kirtan at 4 pm. A programme based on Mahasadhu Shri Moraya Gosavi Maharaj’s verses ‘Maza Morayacha Dharma’ will be organised at 6 pm. It will be followed by ‘Bhakti Sangeet and Abhangwani programme by Pt Jayateertha Mevundi and co-artistes.
On December 19, Avinash Dharmadhikari will give a lecture on ‘Tilak Parv’ at 6 pm. A Sugam Sangeet programme by Bela Shende and co-artistes will be held at 8.30 pm.
On December 20, a health check-up and blood donation camp will be held. A classical instrumental music concert by Ustad Shahid Parvez (Sitar), Pt Rajas Upadhye (Violine) and Pt Vijay Ghate (Tabla) will be organised in the evening.
On December 21, Purushottam Maharaj Patil will deliver a Kirtan to mark the Sanjeevan Samadhi Sohala. Later, the Mahotsav will be concluded with the Mahaprasad (community feast), said Mandar Maharaj Dev.
Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar for Dr Raghunath Mashelkar
This year’s Shri Moraya Gosavi Maharaj Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar (award) will be bestowed upon Dr Raghunath Mashelkar. It will be presented to Dr Mashelkar by Panditpravar Ganeshwarshastri Dravid on December 20.
Hundreds of acres of land owned by the Chinchwad Devasthan has been grabbed. Hearings in over 50 cases are underway at the Charity Commissionerate, said Devasthan Trustee Adv Rajendra Umap.
