Badlapur: In a dramatic turn of events, outraged parents staged a rail roko protest at 10 AM today, bringing train services to a standstill on both up and down routes. The protest was sparked by the sexual assault of two female students at Adarsh College in Badlapur.

After the incident at around 6:30 AM there was a massive outcry from parents who initially gathered at the entrance of Adarsh College to demand justice. The situation quickly escalated as the angry parents moved their protest to the nearby Badlapur railway station, where they halted the Koyna Express on the down route.

The protest caused significant disruption, with train services on the up route being suspended up to Wangani station and down-route services halted at Ambernath station. The railway administration, caught off guard by the sudden influx of protestors on the tracks, has since been working with local police to calm the situation and restore order.

Efforts are currently underway to negotiate with the parents and resolve the situation, but train services remain suspended, causing widespread disruption to commuters in the area.
