Poll meeting of former corporators, office-bearers held in Pune
Pune: The State Legislative Assembly elections have been declared. Political circles are busy predicting winners on November 23.
The BJP City Unit on Tuesday held an area-wise meeting of former corporators and office-bearers and issued instructions to remain alert and pay personal attention in their localities. Touring workers Pravasi karyakarte) will prepare a report if work is being done at every booth within every constituency.
The meeting of all former corporators and main office-bearers from the eight Assembly segments was held. National General Secretary CT Ravi, Western Maharashtra Incharge Ajay Jamwal, former Sanghatan Mantri Raghunath Kulkarni and City Unit President Dheeraj Ghate were present.
Party’s local-level organisation, power centres, booth heads were reviewed in the constituency-wise meetings. Tasks have been allotted to every one for the next 30 days.
The Maha Yuti will take some more days for concluding the seat-sharing talks and to finalise the list of candidates. However, former corporators have been told to start working immediately as though they themselves are contesting the poll.
Former corporators have been told to hold a dialogue with voters and beneficiaries within their wards and educate them on various Central and State government schemes.
Touring workers have been deployed in every constituency. They will visit power centres (shakti kendras) and booths in the next two-three days. They will prepare a report on party machinery and workers. Thus, party leadership will get details about booth structure and about those who may avoid work. It will help improve in the future.
