Pune: 19-year-old girl student dies in accident

Pune / Rajgurunagar: A 19-year-old girl student died on the spot after a speeding vehicle hit her scooterette at around 9.15 pm on April 25. The deceased has been identified as Shreya Sandeep Khaire, resident of Pabal in Shirur taluka.

According to the Khed Police, a speeding car (MH43CM5081) coming from the direction of Khed hit Shreya’s two-wheeler (MH14FY3422) when she was returning home on Holewadi-Mandvala Road in front of Gawade CNG Pump. She was injured seriously in the accident and died on the spot. The car owner parked his vehicle in front of the CNG Pump and escaped.

Shreya’s grandfather Kaluram Sitram Khaire lodged a complaint at the Khed Police Station. Shreya’s father is a jawan in the Indian Army and is posted in Kashmir. Shreya was studying in the first year of BBA in Indira College, Wakad.

She secured 96 pc marks in HSC from KD Chaudhari Patil English Medium School.
