Pune: 4-Year-Old Dies After Mother’s Boyfriend Assault; Mother and Boyfriend Held for Murder and Cover-Up

Pune : In a commendable act, the Bibvewadi Police skilfully unveiled the murder of a 4-year-old boy with the help of a post-mortem report of the boy. In this case, police detained the mother and her boyfriend under the charges of murder and for hiding the crime.

The deceased toddler has been identified as Vedansh Virbhadra Kale (age 4), a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Bibvewadi.

As per the information, Pallavi Virbhadra Kale (age 24) has admitted her 4-year-old son, Vedansh Kale, in Kamala Nehru Hospital on September 2. At that time, she told doctors that Vedansh fell from the bed of the house when she went for the work. At that time, Vedansh had a plaster on his hand. However, doctors declared him dead before the treatment.

To everyone’s surprise, doctors noted the multiple injuries as a reason behind Vedansh’s death. Suspicious by reports, Police Sub-Inspector Shashank Jadhav, Police Ammaldar Vijay Lad, Ankush Kengle, Nitin Dhotre, and Women Police Constable Aditi Bahirat started interrogating the child’s mother on the instructions of Senior Police Inspector Mangal Modhave. However, she was giving random answers.

When police investigated her neighbours and her relatives about it, they learnt that Pallavi had an affair with Mahesh Kumbhar and had been living with him in Nashik for the last three months. After this, Pallavi Kale had no choice but to tell the truth.

During the police investigation, she told that on the night of September 1, Vedansh vomited on the hand of Mahesh Kumbhar after the dinner. Got angry by this, Mahesh Kumbhar beat him with hands and broom. In this, Vedansh fell unconscious. He was then first taken to the Civil Hospital in Nashik. After that, Pallavi and Mahesh brought him to Kamla Nehru Hospital in Pune.

According to the complaint given by Sub-Inspector of Police Shashank Jadhav, a case of murder was registered against the couple as it was found that Vedansh died due to assault by Mahesh Kumbhar. Kumbhar was booked at Panchavati Police Station in Nashik. Meanwhile, Kumbhar’s technical analysis and police sub-inspector Ashok Yewle’s information through an informant confirmed that he was in Nashik. Accordingly, Panchavati police detained him.

This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Mangal Modhve, Police Inspector Manoj Kumar Londhe, Police Sub-Inspector Shashank Jadhav, Police Sub-Inspector Ashok Yewle, Vivek Sisal, Police Ammaldar Vijay Lad, Ankush Kengle, Nitin Dhotre, Vishal Jadhav, Sanjay Angre, Ajay Kamthe, and Aditi Bahirat under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police R Raja, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Dhanyakumar Godse.
