Pune: 43-Year-Old Man Attacks Wife for Not Serving Mirchicha Thecha at Dinner in Yerawada

Mirchicha thecha is a fiery, spicy condiment popular in Maharashtra. It is made primarily from chilli peppers, garlic, and other spices and is often enjoyed as a side dish. However, in a shocking incident, the husband has stabbed his wife with a knife in Yerawada over the denial of giving Mirchicha thecha in dinner.
This incident has taken place in Yerawada on Sunday evening. In this regard, a complaint has been registered against the husband at Yerawada police station. The injured woman has been identified as Supriya Pankaj Pacharane (age 40, a resident of Nagpur Chawl, Yerawada). In this case, a complaint was lodged against Pankaj Machhindranath Pacharane (age 43).
As per the police complaint, the accused husband, Pankaj Pacharane, arrived at home on Sunday evening. At that time, he asked his wife, Supriya, to make mirchicha thecha for dinner. On that, his wife asked him to first bring chilli to make thecha. On that, Pankaj got angry and he slapped his wife.
After that, when their son, Aryan, tried to intervene in their argument, the accused brought a knife from the kitchen, and he raised a knife to kill Aryan. In this, Supriya was injured after a knife hit near her left eye. Police constable Tejpal is investigating further in this case.
Recently, incidents of minor disputes turning into extreme fights have increased in Pune city. On Saturday midnight in the Narhe area, a young man who had gone to eat at a pub got into an argument after he put his hand on his friend’s plate. In that argument, the young man was brutally beaten and killed by others.
