Pune: ACB raids residences of two BJ Medical College officials nabbed in bribe case, seizes big assets

Pune: The Office Superintendent and Senior Assistant from the Sassoon General Hospital’s BJ Medical College were arrested for accepting a bribe on Tuesday (April 2). The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) took the big action.
The ACB also raided residences of the two officials and found huge unaccounted assets on Thursday morning.
According to the details received, valuables worth Rs 39 lakh were confiscated from the residence of Senior Assistant Jayant Parvat Chaudhary (49) while assets worth over Rs 1.35 crore were recovered from the house of Office Superintendent Suresh Vishwanath Bonvale (53).
The ACB was receiving complaints about the two officials for the past few weeks. They were nabbed red-handed while accepting Rs 1 lakh bribe by the ACB. Their residences were raided. They would soon be produced before the court. The ACB was investigating further.
