Pune: “An elected representative should not be a face seen only during elections. They must act as a responsible manager who finds solutions to citizens’ everyday, basic civic issues,” said Aishwarya Surendra Pathare while addressing citizens during a padyatra held on Wednesday (January 7).

The padyatra in Ward No. 03 was conducted in two phases morning and evening and featured BJP-RPI candidates Aishwarya Surendra Pathare (Group C), Dr Shreyas Pritam Khandwe (Group A), Anil Dilip Satav (Group B), and Ramdas Dattatraya Dabhade (Group D). The morning phase began at Wagheshwar Nagar and passed through Lohgaon Road Chowk, Gore Vasti, Deshmukh Vasti, and Jadhav Vasti, concluding at Suyog Nagar. The evening phase started from Pankaja Asman Society and covered Shubh Mangal Hall, Teacher’s Colony, lanes of Sant Nagar, Indrayani Vihar, and ended at Maruti Nagar.

During the padyatra, the candidates engaged directly with residents to understand issues related to roads, water supply, sanitation, traffic, safety, education, and other essential civic amenities. Emphasising accountability, Pathare said, “Development rests on planning, time-bound execution, and implementation. A representative who respects citizens’ time, trust, and expectations can truly bring change.”

Residents responded positively, noting that the outreach effectively presented a development vision grounded in dialogue, trust, and accountability for the Viman Nagar-Lohegaon area.
