Pune: Another offence registered against Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj
Pune: Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj has been booked for driving a wedge between two communities during his speech. Shoeb Ismail Shaikh (62), a resident of Ghorpade Peth, lodged a complaint at the Khadak Police Station.
A case has been registered against Mahant Ramgiri Maharaj, a resident of Ahilyanagar district. The complaint stated that their sentiments were hurt after Mahant Ramgiri made a statement that could cause a divide between two communities. His remarks have adversely affected national unity.
Earlier, tension prevailed in Nashik after Mahant Ramgiri made the controversial statement. Riots were also reported recently.
