Pune Anti-Narcotics Cell Apprehends Two Individuals in Illegal Selling of Mephedrone; Seized Drugs Worth Rs 14 Lakh

In a significant action, the anti-narcotics cell has arrested two individuals for possessing narcotic substances and seized mephedrone worth Rs 14 lakh from them.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Zaheer alias Saad Gani Khan (age 20) and Aadnana Shabir Sheikh (age 25); both are residents of Kondhwa.

Amidst the increasing incidences of illicit narcotics sales in Pune city, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar has given instructions regarding the total eradication of such substances from the city. Accordingly, the Police Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad and his team were patrolling in the city.

At this time, Police Ammaldar Azim Sheikh received information about the arrival of two people in front of the Opel Falaq society in Kondhwa for the illicit sale of narcotics drugs. Accordingly, the police went there on Friday morning and detained both the accused. In this action, police also seized 63 grams of mephedrone (MD) worth Rs. 14 lakhs from their possession.

This action was taken by the team of Police Inspector of Anti-Narcotics Cell Sudarshan Gaikwad, Assistant Police Inspector Nitinkumar Naik, Police Sub Inspector Digambar Chavan, Police Constable Azim Sheikh, Chetan Gaikwad, Prashant Bomadandi, Sandeep Jadhav, Disha Khewalkar, Sahil Sheikh, Sandeep Shelke, Yogesh Mandhare, Azim Sheikh, Nitin Jagdale, Yuvraj Kamble, and Azad Patil under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajendra Mulik.
