Pune: Arrest Warrant Issued Against Manoj Jarange Patil for Cheating Theatre Producer
Pune: An arrest warrant has been issued by the Pune court against Maratha Reservation movement leader Manoj Jarange Patil for non-appearance in a hearing related to a cheating case filed at Kothrud police station. The warrant was issued by First Class Magistrate A.C. Birajdar.
In 2013, six rehearsals of the play “Shambhu Raje” were held in Jalna, with organizers agreeing to pay Rs. 30 lakh to the theatre producer and Rs 5 Lakh for each performance. However, the producer was not fully compensated for these rehearsals. Consequently, a fraud case was registered against Jarange Patil, Arjun Prasad Jadhav, and Dutta Bahir at Kothrud police station for embezzling money from the theatre producer.
Dhananjay Ghorpade filed a complaint in court, leading to the registration of the case under the court’s direction. Jarange Patil was summoned twice but failed to appear, resulting in the issuance of the arrest warrant.
