Pune: Bachchu Kadu meets Sharad Pawar at Modi Baug, likely to join MVA
Pune: There are speculations that Prahar Janshakti President and firebrand leader Bachchu Kadu is likely to leave the Maha Yuti. He met NCP (SP) President Sharad Pawar at the latter’s residence, Modi Baug, on Saturday.
This has given rise to talks that Kadu is likely to join the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) ahead of the State Assembly elections. Before meeting the senior leader, Kadu addressed the media. He said that he had no intention to leave the Maha Yuti and join the MVA. It is said that he is using pressure tactics by meeting opposition leaders.
Kadu said, “The meeting is pre-planned. Therefore, I have come to meet him. We will go to any extent to protect farmers, farm labourers and the special people. I will decide whether to align with anybody or not after September 1.
“We have set a deadline of September 1 for the government, which should grant our demands till that time. I am not unhappy. My demand is that the demands of our brothers should be met. I will discuss issues of farmers and farm labours with Sharad Pawar.”
Political circles are abuzz with talks about Bachchu Kadu being unhappy with the Maha Yuti. He has been making statements against the Maha Yuti from time to time. Hence, he is likely to join the MVA. His meeting with Sharad Pawar is seen from this angle.
However, Bachchu Kadu said that he did not discuss politics with Sharad Pawar and his meeting did not indicate his joining of the MVA.
