Pune: Bapusaheb Pathare holds several campaign rallies; likely to get lead in State poll
Pune: It has become clear that Vadgaon Sheri MVA candidate Bapusaheb Pathare is likely to take the lead in the State Assembly election going by his systematic campaigning, padyatras and a spate of poll rallies.
Political pundits are of the view that Pathare may get a big lead due to an unprecedented response his poll campaign is getting in its last leg. It became clear right from the beginning when major leaders and workers started extending their support to Pathare.
His poll campaign was filled with enthusiasm due to the presence of senior leaders such as Balasaheb Thorat, Supriya Sule, Jayant Patil, Rohit Pawar and Sanjay Raut. Pathare has been promising concrete action on local issues, particularly the smart water management project. Voters are responding well to his campaigns.
Dr Vishwambhar Choudhary and Adv Asim Sarode have also supported Bapusaheb Pathare’s candidature through their ‘Nirbhay Bano’ drive. They have appreciated Pathare’s stance on sustainable development, social justice and inclusiveness.
Special efforts were made to reach out to youths through young leader Nilesh Lanke’s participation, which energised the campaign. Discussions are centred around infrastructural facilities and a water tanker-free constituency.
