Pune: Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Arrest Recidivist Criminal Armed with Pistol Near Swami Narayan Mandir
Pune: The Bharti Vidyapeeth Police arrested the habitual offender who was standing on the road leading towards Swami Narayan Mandir with a pistol on his waist. In the subsequent action, police seized a pistol and a cartridge from him.
The police identified the arrested individual as Abhay Alias Ajay Ashok Nisargandh (age 24, a resident of Siddhivinayak Colony, Jambhulwadi).
As per the police information, while the officers and employees of Bharti Vidyapeeth police station were patrolling on Thursday, September 26, the Assistant Faujdar Namdev Renuse and Satish More got the information through their informant that the on-record criminal, Abhay Nisargandh, was standing with a pistol on the road from Bhumkar Chowk to Swami Narayan Mandir.
After getting the information about it, the police started searching for the accused. At that time, police found the accused, Abhay Nisargandh, standing on the back side of the Appa’s hotel. Accordingly, police detained him. When he was frisked by the police, following the detention, police found a country-made pistol worth Rs 50,000 and a live cartridge worth Rs 1,000 in his possession. Accordingly, police detained him.
This action was taken by the team of Assistant Police Inspector Sameer Kadam, Sameer Shende, Police Sub Inspector Nilesh Mokashi, Assistant Faujdar Namdev Renuse, Shailendra Sathe, Police Ammaldar Chetan Gore, Hanumant Masal, Mahesh Baravkar, Nilesh Dhamdhere, Nilesh Jamdade, Mangesh Pawar, Satish More, Awdhut Jamdade, Sachin Sarpale, Nilesh Khairmode, Dhanaji Dhotre, Sachin Gade, Mitesh Chormole, Abhinay Chaudhari, and Sagar Borge.
Further, the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Smartana Patil, Assistant Police Commissioner Nandini Vagyani, Senior Police Inspector Dashrath Patil, and Police Inspector (Criminal) Sharad Zine also proved crucial in solving the case.
