In a swindling incident, a businessman was duped of Rs 7 lakh by a person by luring him to give four crore rupees as a loan for his business. In this regard, a complaint has been lodged against an accused at Samarth Police Station.

The booked individual has been identified as Tanmay Ramesh Jadhav (a resident of Audumbar Darshan Society, Fatima Nagar, Wanwadi). As per the police complaint, the plaintiff is a businessman, and he got acquainted with the accused Tanmay Jadhav through one of their common friends.

As the plaintiff was in need of some money for his business, the accused lured the plaintiff into giving him a loan of Rs 4 crore from Venkateshwara Enterprises, a private financial institution, within 15 days.

After the plaintiff trusted him, the accused called him at a hotel in Rasta Peth. There, he signed a contract with the plaintiff on a stamp paper. Meanwhile, Jadhav took six lakh 87 thousand rupees from the plaintiff from time to time for loan approval. However, he did not give any loan amount to the plaintiff. When the plaintiff asked him about the loan money, the accused gave him vague answers.

After realising that he had been cheated, the plaintiff then filed a complaint with the police. In this regard, Police Sub-Inspector J.R. Phadtare is investigating further.
