Pune: Company related to Dr Puja Khedkar may be auctioned

Pune / Pimpri: The private company related to controversial probationary IAS officer Dr Puja Khedkar may be auctioned. It has not paid tax amounting to Rs 2.72 lakh to the civic body. An attached property can be auctioned, said Tax Collection Department Head Nilesh Deshmukh.

Khedkar provided the address of Thermoverita company to get the disability certificate. The address was on a ration card, which was provided as a proof of her identity. The ration card has the address of this company, which has already been attached. Now, it could be auctioned.

The company paid the tax regularly till 2022. However, it did not pay the Rs 2.72 lakh tax for two years. A pre-attachment notice was issued in March 2024. A 21-day notice has now been issued. If the tax is not paid within 21 days, the property could be sold or auctioned.
