A case of substantial fraud amounting to Rs 2 crore 31 lakh 20 thousand has emerged, implicating a husband-wife duo in a deceptive scheme involving the misappropriation of materials from a partnership business and reselling them through their private companies. The Deccan Police have registered a case against the accused couple in this case.

Charudatta Shriniwas Mudgal (58), a resident of Eden Garden, PYC Colony in Deccan Gymkhana, filed a complaint at the Deccan Police Station. The accused, identified as Nilesh Suresh Thole (49) and his wife, Rina Nilesh Thole, residents of Pranav Society, Phatak Baug in Navi Peth, are now under investigation based on Mudgal’s detailed allegations.

The incidents reportedly took place at Emblem Digital, a company on Prabhat Road, from 2019 to the present date. Mudgal’s complaint further claims that these materials were sold through the Thole-owned companies, and the proceeds were solely utilised for their personal ventures. The alleged fraudulent transactions resulted in financial losses to Mudgal totalling Rs 4 crore 83 lakh 23 thousand 293.
