Pune: Crime Branch Nabs Car Thief During Routine Patrolling in Hadapsar

The Crime Branch Unit 5 was patrolling in the Hadapsar area. At that time, they noticed a suspicious vehicle there. Surprisingly, when the crime branch unit investigated the driver, they found that the vehicle had been stolen by him, and he is a vehicle thief.
The accused has been identified as Pramod Mohan Sontakke (a resident of DP Road, Malwadi, Hadapsar, and an original resident of Yenegur, Taluka Omerga, District Dharashiv).
On Tuesday, unit 5 of the crime branch was patrolling in the Hadapsar area. At that time, a man was found suspiciously standing on a motorcycle near Gandhi Chowk in Hadapsar Gadital. When the police enquired him about the vehicle, they found that he had no documents for the bike. During the following investigation, police learnt that the accused had stolen the bike from Hadapsar, and in this regard, a complaint has been registered at Hadapsar Police Station.
Meanwhile, the police have arrested Sontakke and seized the bike from him. Further investigation is being done by police.
This action has been taken by the team of Police Inspector Yuvraj Hande, Assistant Police Inspector Shinde, Police Ammaldar Shahaji Kale, Pramod Tilekar, Amit Kamble, and Swami, under the guidance of Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajendra Mulik.
