Pune Crime Branch Nabs Two Men with Pistols in Connection to Gangster Sharad Mohol Murder Revenge Plot

An interesting twist has come into the gangster Sharad Mohol Murder Case. Almost a year after notorious gangster Sharad Mohol was murdered, the Crime Branch team of Pune police has arrested two people who were preparing to avenge the murder of Sharad Mohol. The police have seized 2 pistols and 7 live cartridges from these accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Sharad Shivaji Malpote (age 29, a resident of Sutardara, Kothrud) and Sandesh Lahu Kadu (age 24, a resident of Kalubai Colony, Kothrud). This action has been taken by the team of unit 2 of the crime branch.
Although two people have been arrested by Pune police in this case so far, police suspect the involvement of other individuals as well, and it is learnt that the other accomplices of the accused will be detained soon.
According to the information, both the arrested individuals had made a foolproof plan to take revenge for the murder of gangster Sharad Mohol. For this, they also purchased pistols and cartridges, and both of them were looking for an opportunity. But even before they could do anything, the Crime Branch police got a tip-off about their conspiracy, and they arrested both the individuals by setting a trap.
The notorious gangster, Sharad Mohol, was shot dead by Sahil, alias Munna Polekar, and a few other assailants on January 5, 2024, in front of his house in Sutardara, Kothrud. The assailants had fired three bullets at Sharad Mohol and murdered him from gang rivalry.
A case was registered in this regard at Kothrud police station. During the investigation, 17 accused were identified by police. It was found that the Vitthal Shelar gang from Mulshi was behind the murder of Sharad Mohol. After that, action has been taken against 17 people, including the gangster Vitthal Shelar, under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
Now, almost one year after that incident, few supporters of Sharad Mohol planned to take revenge for his murder. However, police thwarted their attempt and arrested two individuals.
This action has been taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Pratap Mankar, Assistant Police Inspector Amol Rasal, Ashish Kavthekar, Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Kamble, Police Amaldar Amol Sarde, Omkar Kumbhar, Ujjwal Mokashi, Shankar Kumbhar, Vijay Pawar, Sanjay Abnave, Pushpendra Chavan, Nagnath Rakh, Sadhana Tamhane, Shankar Nevase, Sanjay Jadhav, Ganesh Thorat, Nikhil Jadhav, Vinod Chavan, Rahul Shinde, and Hanumat Kamble.
In this, the guidance of Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Police Commissioner (Crime) Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime) Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Police Commissioner (Crime-01) Ganesh Ingle proved useful.
