Pune: Crime Branch Unit 4 Nabbed Three MCOCA Accused; Had Been Absconding for 5 Months

The Crime Branch Unit 4 has succeeded in detaining three absconding accused who were booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). The Crime Branch Unit has successfully arrested three accused from Gilt Hotel.

The names of the arrested accused are Aman Rajendra Doke (age 19, a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Khadki), Kiran Anil Khude (age 23), and Deepak Rajendra Doke (age 23, a resident of Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Khadki). In this regard, Hina, alias Rina Fakira Tayde (age 28, a resident of Mahadev Wadi, Khadki Bazar), had lodged a complaint at Khadki Police Station on September 18, 20224.

After Tayde’s complaint, police had booked the accused Shubham Umale and 11 members of his gang. The plaintiff in his complaint stated that Shubham Umale and his gang entered her house at 11:30 p.m. on September 17, 2024, and assaulted her. Further, they vandalised the goods from the house with machetes and wooden sticks and threatened to not leave anyone of her family alive if no one listen to them.

After the incident, the police had arrested the main accused in this case. However, three accused involved in the case had fled from jail. After that, the police have taken stringent action against this gang under the MCOCA Act.

Meanwhile, when Unit 4 of the Crime Branch was patrolling, Police Amaldar Jahangir Pathan and Vishal Gade learnt that the absconding accused had come to Gilt Hotel, situated opposite to IT Park. After confirming this news, the police reached the location and arrested the three accused. They have been handed over to the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Khadki, for further action.

This action was taken by the team of Police Sub-Inspector Vaibhav Magdum, Police Amaldar Jahangir Pathan, Vishal Gade, Vitthal Waval, Praveen Bhalchim, Vinod Mahajan, and Subhash Awhad under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, Assistant Police Commissioner Rajendra Mulik, and Senior Police Inspector Ajay Waghmare
