Pune: Crime Branch Unit 5 Nabs Burglar, Recovers Gold Worth Rs 11.59 Lakh From Him

In a commendable job, the team of crime branch unit 5 has immediately arrested a burglar after learning that he was coming to sell gold jewellery. The arrested burglar has been identified as Anil Minsing Khadka (age 25, a resident of Keshav Chowk, Malwadi, Hadapsar), and police have seized 173 grams of gold jewellery worth 11 lakh 59 thousand 500 rupees from him.
The team of unit 5 of the crime branch was patrolling in the Malwadi area of Hadapsar. At that time, the police Ammaldar Tanaji Deshmukh and Amit Kamble received a tip-off from their informant that an accused in the Hadapsar burglary was coming to Amardham Crematorium in Malwadi to sell the robbed jewellery.
To verify this news, a police team reached Amardham crematorium, where they found Anil Khadka standing suspiciously. After that, when police detained and frisked him, police found jewellery weighing 173 grams worth Rs 11,59,500 with him. When interrogated about it, the accused confirmed that he had stolen that jewellery from a flat in Marvel Arco Society in Hadapsar.
Anuradha Phani Rayanpati (age 44, a resident of Marvel Arco Society, Malwadi) has filed a complaint with Hadapsar police station in this regard. As per the complaint, between November 17 and 21, a thief entered through an open door into the house of the plaintiff and stole gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh 70 thousand from the cupboard. Meanwhile, Anil Khadka has been handed over to Hadapsar police for further action.
This action was taken by the team of Police Inspector Yuvraj Hande, Assistant Police Inspector Vijaykumar Shinde, Police Anmaldar Amit Kamble, Tanaji Deshmukh, Pramod Tilekar, Pratap Gaikwad, Vinod Nimbhore, Vinod Shivale, Swati Gawade, Pallavi More, Shubhangi Mhalsekar, Akbar Sheikh, and Rahul Dhamdhere under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Police Commissioner Rajendra Mulik.
