Pune: Criminal Arrested After Threatening Victim at Gunpoint, 2 Pistols Seized
Pune : The Bharati Vidyapeeth Police in Pune have arrested notorious criminal Shwetang Bhaskar Nikalje, who allegedly kidnapped a man and threatened him at gunpoint, asking, “Which pistol should I shoot you with?”
Police recovered two pistols and a car used in the crime during the operation.
According to the complaint filed by Shiva Dhanraj Mutyal, he and Nikalje were involved in a mobile tower contract. During Mutyal’s wedding, Nikalje and two others kidnapped him, took him to Bhor Road, and held pistols to his head while making threats.
Nikalje is known in the Bhimnagar and Bharati Vidyapeeth areas, with several serious criminal cases registered against him — including attempted murder, illegal possession of weapons and assault.
Police later tracked down and arrested Shwetang Nikalje and Om Gaikwad, recovering two pistols and a vehicle worth around ₹6 lakh.
Investigation is ongoing.
