Pune: The Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Hospital (YCMH) has submitted a report to the District Collectorate. The report states that the doctor is innocent. He had issued a disability certificate to controversial probationary IAS officer Dr Puja Khedkar.

The report further states that the certificate of 7 pc disability will neither help Khedkar to get a job nor will she secure a berth in any educational institution.

Earlier, the District Collector instructed the YCMH to submit a report about the disability certificate issued to Khedkar. Therefore, YCMH Dean Dr Rajendra Wable has commented in the report that the said doctor is innocent.

Wable said, “We sought a report from the doctor concerned about the disability certificate issued to Puja Khedkar. He issued a certificate as per the government criteria that she has 7 pc disability. However, she is unable to avail any concession in education or government service using the certificate.”

Wable adds that the fake address on a ration card that she had provided to procure the certificate is not within their jurisdiction and the related department could take action.

Meanwhile, Puja Khedkar was summoned by the training academy in Mussoorie on or before July 23 but she did not report to them. Her training period was suspended and she was called back to the academy. The UPSC lodged a cheating complaint against her for changing her identity and taking the civil services exam.
