Pune:
In a shocking and violent incident, a man was brutally assaulted in Pisoli over a trivial issue involving a pet dog. Four individuals, angered by a dog growling at a society member, physically attacked the dog’s owner, even hitting him with a children’s bicycle. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. on December 14 at Sarthak Belva Society in Wagh Vasti, Pisoli.
In this regard, Krunal Vitthal Wasam (34), a resident of the Sarthak Belva Society, has filed a complaint with Kondhwa Police Station. Following his complaint, the police have registered a case against Ashpak Tamboli, his relative Walin Khan, and two others involved in the assault.
According to police information, the incident began when Wasam was waiting near the elevator lobby with his dog, Siya. At that moment, Ashpak Tamboli, a resident of the society, arrived in the lift. Upon seeing Tamboli, the dog growled, triggering Tamboli’s anger. Due to this, Tamboli immediately began verbally abusing Wasam. When the complainant attempted to reason with Tamboli, the situation escalated, and Tamboli slapped Wasam in a fit of rage.
Further, Tamboli picked up a children’s bicycle from the parking lot and struck Wasam with it. In an attempt to protect himself, Wasam raised his right hand, which resulted in an injury to Wasam. While the victim sat in pain on a railing in the elevator lobby, two of Tamboli’s family members reportedly joined in, abusing and assaulting Wasam with their hands and legs.
The incident further escalated when Tamboli’s relative, Walin Khan, arrived at the spot. As per the complaint, Khan allegedly asked Tamboli to bring a rod to kill Wasam. Police Constable Lonkar is conducting further investigation in this case.
