Pune: Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly in Dhanori: Unemployed Husband Kills His Wife Over Character Doubt

Pune : A shocking incident has come to light from the Dhanori area of Pune, where an unemployed husband killed his own wife by hitting a gas cylinder on her head by making baseless accusations on her character. Vishrantwadi Police have detained the husband in this case.

The murdered woman has been identified as Madhuri Manohar More (age 47, a resident of Munjoba Vasti, Dhanori). In this regard, the Senior Police Inspector Kanchan Jadhav of Vishrantwadi Police Station informed that the More family has four children, of whom two daughters are married. Madhuri and her husband, Manohar, were living with a 14-year-old girl and an 11-year-old son in Dhanori.

It is learnt that Manohar is a cancer patient, and he is currently unemployed. Whereas, Madhuri was the sole earner of the family and was working as a maid at other people’s houses.

For the last few days, there were constant arguments happening between Madhuri and her husband. Her husband was constantly harassing her, taking doubt on her character. On Monday morning, the couple again started fighting. However, in the fit of anger, Manohar hit the gas cylinder into his wife’s head. In this, Madhuri More was seriously injured and died subsequently.

After getting the information of the incident, Vishrantwadi police immediately reached the spot and arrested the accused. Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, Senior Police Inspector Kanchan Jadhav, and their colleagues have visited the spot and have ordered further investigation into the case.
