Pune: Controversial probationary IAS officer Dr Puja Khedkar has disappeared from public space fearing arrest after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) lodged a police complaint against her.

She was summoned for the second time by the Pune Police in the mental harassment case but she did not turn up for recording her statement. She lodged the case against Pune District Collector Dr Suhas Diwase.

The Pune Police tried to contact her on mobile phone but she was not reachable. In her complaint lodged with the Washim Police, she alleged that Diwase mentally harassed her during her training period in the Pune District Collectorate. However, she did not record her statement even after two summons were issued to her. She neither replied to phone calls by the police nor was she reachable through WhatsApp. This has raised a question about her whereabouts.

The UPSC has lodged a cheating case against Khedkar in Delhi. The commission has also sought an explanation from her about the mess she has created with her certificates and identity.
