Pune: Dr Puja Khedkar’s driver pays Rs 27,400 fine on her car
Pune / Pimpri: Controversial probationary IAS officer Dr Puja Khedkar’s driver paid a cumulative fine of Rs 27,400 with the Nigdi Traffic Division for various violations by her personal car.
Khedkar is making headlines for all wrong reasons for the past few weeks. She had displayed the plate, Maharashtra Government, on her personal car (MH12AR7000). She also put the beacon on her car. The Traffic Police acted against the car under section 177 of the Motor Vehicles Act. They had levied Rs 27,400 fine for various violations against her personal car.
Her driver deposited the fine at Bhakti-Shakti Chowk in Nigdi, where the police were monitoring traffic. He told them that a cumulative fine of Rs 27,400 was imposed on his car. Then he deposited the entire amount with them.
PI (Nigdi Traffic Division) Shankar Babar said, “Khedkar’s driver deposited the fine amount of Rs 27,400 with a traffic policeman, who was deployed at Bhakti-Shakti Chowk, Nigdi.”
