Pune: Dramatic Chase Ends with Arrest of Kiwale’s Notorious ‘Dudhane Gang’ After Firing at Police – Three Held with Pistols, Cartridges & Stolen Jewellery
Pune/Pimpri: In a dramatic early-morning operation, Pune Crime Branch arrested three members of the notorious Dudhane gang, who had allegedly committed a house burglary in Kiwale and stolen goods worth ₹5.25 lakh.
During the chase, the accused opened fire on the police, but the team bravely managed to overpower and arrest all three.
Recovered from the accused:
2 country-made pistols,
7 live cartridges,
Gold and silver ornaments,
Sharp weapons,
Total seizure: ₹8.87 lakh.
Arrested accused include:
Sunny Singh Papasingh Dudhane (24), Jalsingh Rajput Singh Dudhane (32), and Manish Babulal Kushwah (28).
Sunny Singh has 70 cases registered against him, while Jalsingh has 50 cases.
The incident occurred near the Somatane toll plaza on November 27.
Based on technical analysis and intelligence, police laid a trap. When they stopped the suspects’ car, the gang members fired at the officers. One constable displayed quick reflexes and attempted to snatch the pistol, causing the bullet to pass through the vehicle instead.
The police team successfully detained all three accused and recovered weapons and stolen valuables.
The operation was executed under the guidance of senior officials from the Pune Police Crime Branch Unit 2.
