Pune: “Glad They Made a Prediction, None of Their Predictions Have Ever Come True,” Says NCP Candidate Amol Balwadkar, Hits Back at Chandrakant Patil (Video)
Pune: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) candidate from Ward No. 9, Amol Balwadkar, launched a sharp counterattack against BJP leader and cabinet minister Chandrakant Patil, saying that none of Patil’s past predictions have ever come true—making his latest prediction a good omen for Balwadkar’s victory.
Balwadkar said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recently reviewed and reprimanded leaders in Pune after the BJP fielded unsuitable candidates in some wards, forcing senior leaders to go door-to-door campaigning. “Had they given the right candidates, this situation wouldn’t have arisen,” he said, adding that the BJP has now lost control of this election and is fighting for political survival.
Chandrakant Patil has been campaigning in Ward 9 for BJP candidates and had predicted a BJP win from the area. Responding to this, Balwadkar remarked that the more Patil campaigns in the ward, the more his own winning margin will increase. He also appealed that chocolates or sweets should not be distributed during campaigning.
Balwadkar alleged that BJP leaders have no development work to showcase in the area. “Whatever development has taken place is due to the schemes of Narendra Modi and Devendra Fadnavis. Those who have done nothing here are now talking about development,” he said.
He further accused the BJP of a political approach that neither delivers development nor allows others to work, claiming that their true face will soon be exposed. “What Chandrakant Patil has done is visible to the entire Maharashtra and to every Punekar across Balewadi, Mhalunge, Sus, Baner, Pashan, and Someshwarwadi,” he added.
Meanwhile, large padayatras led by Amol Balwadkar are underway across Sus-Baner-Pashan in Ward 9, receiving growing public support. A joint, high-energy campaign with fellow NCP candidates Gayatri Medhe, Baburao Chandere, and Parvati Nimhane is also gaining momentum throughout the ward.
