Pune: Hadapsar Police Bust Major Vehicle Theft Racket, Recover 24 Stolen Bikes from Serial Vehicle Thief

Pune: The Hadapsar police were in awe when they detained the accused in the vehicle theft cases. To the police’s surprise, the accused thief had stolen as many as 24 vehicles from the Hadapsar and adjacent areas.
The Hadapsar police arrested Deepak alias Jojo Baburao Sarvade (age 30, a resident of Thorat Vasti, Kolwadi Road, Manjri) in the vehicle theft cases. The Hadapsar Police seized a total of 24 vehicles, including 9 Honda Shine, 4 Hero Honda Passion, 4 Splendor, 2 Hero Honda Deluxe, 2 Activa, 1 Avenger, 1 Honda Dio, and 1 Honda Dream Yuga, from him.
Police unveiled 19 crimes in Hadapsar Police Station, 2 in Mundhwa Police Station, 2 in Lonikand Police Station, and one in Loni Kalbhor Police Station from him. Notably, he has stolen 23 vehicles out of a total 24 this year only. He confessed that he had sold these stolen vehicles in Pune city, Dharashiv, and Latur.
As per the information, most cases of vehicle theft are registered at Hadapsar police station. Therefore, to bring these crimes to light, senior police officers of Hadapsar police station held a meeting and gave instructions regarding it to officials. Accordingly, the investigation team was searching for Deepak Sarvade, but he was not being found.
However, on the confidential tip-off from the informant, police Ammaldar Deepak Kamble and Chandrakant Rejitwad detained the accused, Deepak Sarvade. During interrogation, he confessed that he stole 24 bikes. Accordingly, police seized 24 vehicles whose collective worth is 12.50 lakh from Pune City, Dharashiv, and Latur.
This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pandhre, Police Inspector Nilesh Jagadale, Assistant Police Inspector Arjun Kudale, Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Kavle, Police Ammaldar Deepak Kamble, Chandrakant Rejitwad, Sushil Lonkar, Sandeep Rathod, Jotiba Pawar, Sameer Pandule, Sachin Jadhav, Nilesh Kirve, Prashant Dudhaal, Nikhil Pawar, Bhagwan Hambarde, Ajit Madane, Atul Pandharkar, Amit Sakhre, Amol Danke, Kundlik Keskar, Tukaram Zunjar, and Abhijit Raut.
In this operation, the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, and Deputy Commissioner of Police R Raja also proved useful.
