Pune: Hinjewadi Police Booked Doctor for Abetting Young Woman to Commit Suicide

In a shocking incident, a young girl from Bavdhan has committed suicide after her alleged doctor boyfriend removed her out of the house in the middle of the night. In this case, the Hinjewadi police have registered a case against a doctor for inciting her to commit suicide.
The doctor who was booked in this case has been identified as Dr. Shantanu Sharad Chopra (age 30), a resident of Hermes Complex, Dhole Patil Road, Sangamvadi. In this case, the mother of the deceased girl has lodged a complaint against Chopra at Hinjewadi Police Station.
The plaintiff complained that Dr. Shantanu Chopra lured her daughter and promised her marriage. He then asked the plaintiff’s daughter to come to his house to stay on September 23. However, later he argued with the plaintiff’s daughter and suddenly took her out of the house.
The plaintiff mentioned that after the incident, her daughter tried to convince him. However, Chopra did not listen to her and removed her out of the house at midnight. He further abused her and asked her to die. Therefore, the girl ended her life by hanging from the ceiling fan in her Bavdhan’s house.
The Assistant Police Inspector Thakur is investigating further in this case.
