Pune: Parvati MVA candidate Ashwini Kadam has vowed to solve very old issues faced by citizens in her segment. She said, “Many civic issues have been pending for a long time in the Parvati Assembly constituency. I am aware that the sitting MLA has not solved them till date. If given an opportunity, I will try my best to sort them out. I am committed to make life easier for residents staying within the Parvati segment.”

She was speaking during a padyatra conducted in ward number 30 in Navi Peth. The walkathon started from Shahu Vasahat Navratra Utsav and passed through Morya Mandal, Adarsh Mandal Housing Board Colony, Ramna Ganpati, Mahatma Phule Vasahat, Uma-Maheshwar Mandir, the chawl in front of Ghone Mutton Shop, the housing society in front of Bharat Mata Study Centre, Punekar Bungalow and the flood-affected people’s colony, Bauddha Vihar, Parvati Police Station and Laxmi Nagar Rahivasi Sangh Mandal.

Later, the padyatra visited Raju Fapale residence, chawls near Jai Bhavani Mandal, Parvati Gaon Adhar Hospital, Bhagwat Hall, Shani Mandir, Farid Patel residence, SRA Parvati Gaon, Audumbar Society Shelar Wada, Harivijay Society, where Kadam interacted with local residents and exchanged warm greetings. Office-bearers and workers from the MVA partners were present in a large number. Numerous women and citizens participated in the walkathon.

Sonali Ujagare, participant and member of Disha Mahila Bachat Gat, said, “Ashwini Nitin Kadam played the role of a health worker during the pandemic. Though her family members were also ill, she put her own life to risk and worked around-the-clock for others. She firmly stayed behind common citizens during such a tough period.”
