They cooperated with the police and coordinated well to complete the procession in a cordial atmosphere. Though a huge crowd of Ganesh Bhakts was present in the city, they also cooperated with the police.”
Action against mandals using laser lights
The CP said, “Laser light was totally banned during the procession. It was not used on the main procession route. Wherever it was used, the police stopped its use. It is still not known how many mandals used laser lights. We will review the issue and act against such mandals.”
Mandals causing noise pollution to face action
Kumar said, “We have measured decibel levels and will act against mandals which have violated the norms.”
Besides security, challenge of police personnel’s health, facilities for them
Kumar said, “Security needs to be strengthened during the immersion procession as huge crowds gather in the city. Thousands of police personnel and officers are deployed. Therefore, their health is as important as a peaceful procession. It is to be ensured that they are not inconvenienced in any way. Security needs to be planned considering all these factors.”
