Pune: Inebriated driver hits container against roadside restaurant (Video)
Pune: A drunk driver of a container hit his vehicle into a roadside restaurant after he was denied a meal. A video clip of the incident went viral on the internet. Citizens’ presence of mind avoided a big damage.
The incident took place on Pune-Solapur highway. According to details received, the horrifying incident took place in front of Gokul Hotel at Hingangaon in Indapur taluka. Upset over the denial to serve a meal, the driver hit his container against the wall of the restaurant. A wall of the building and some vehicles parked in front were damaged in the incident. Witnesses rushed to the spot and controlled the driver. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The police arrived at the spot after learning about the incident and detained the container driver. However, the hotel and some vehicles suffered major losses. The police were investigating the matter.
