Pune: Kondhwa Police Arrested School-Bus Driver for Committing Obscenity with Schoolgirl, Booked Under POCSO

A shocking incident has come to light from the Kondhwa area of Pune, where a school bus driver has allegedly molested a minor school-going girl. Kondhwa police have arrested the driver in this case.
The school bus driver has been identified as Kayyum Ahmad Pathan (age 33, a resident of Vidya Nagar, Kondhwa Khurd). In this regard, a 15-year-old girl has filed a complaint at Kondhwa Police Station.
As per the police information, the victim girl is studying at a school in Kondhwa, and the accused Pathan worked as a school-bus driver, transporting school children in a minibus. As per the police complaint, on December 11, the accused school driver was taking children to their homes after school finished. On Katraj-Kondhwa road, the accused stopped the school bus to drop one student.
When the victim girl, sitting at the door of the bus, opened the door for the student to get down, the accused driver allegedly molested the girl, committing indecent lewd acts with her. Initially, the girl did not inform her parents about it. However, two days ago, the accused again tried to molest her. Therefore, the frightened girl informed her parents about it.
Subsequently, Kondhwa police lodged a police complaint against the accused under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested him. Police Sub-Inspector Pooja Patil is conducting further investigation.
School Employee Molested Female Parent Through Obscene Texts in Hadapsar
In a startling incident, a school employee in the Hadapsar area molested a female parent by sending obscene messages to her. In this regard, a case has been lodged against the employee on the complaint of the woman.
The complainant’s two children study in the same school where the accused work. According to the police, the accused took the woman’s mobile number, saying that he would inform her if the children faced any problem. After that, on December 23, he randomly sent obscene messages to the woman and molested her.
Shockingly, the plaintiff also complained that the accused followed her before and after school hours. Further investigation is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Altaf Sheikh.
