Pune: Kondhwa Police Capture Perpetrator of Violent Machete Assault

Pune: Kondhwa police have successfully arrested an individual who allegedly slashed a person with a machete in an altercation. The arrested individual has been identified as Sohail Shooter, and he stabbed Arbaaz Khaleel Shaikh with a machette on July 21.

This incident took place in Nawazish Chowk, Kondhwa, on July 21. As per the police information, the assaulted Arbaaz Shaikh is working in the N.P. Cable company in Wanwadi. On Sunday, July 21, Arbaaz went to receive his relatives in front of the ‘Hyatt Hotel’. When Arbaaz was helping his relatives take their bags out of the rickshaw, suddenly three people came speedily on bikes and hit his aunt, Reshma Pathan.

Angry by this incident, when Arbaaz confronted the accused about it, the accused, Sohail, and his two accomplices held Arbaaz’s collar and abused him. In a subsequent altercation between Arbaaz and the accused, the accused took a machete from his bike and started running behind Arbaaz with the intention of killing him. The accused detained Arbaaz at the gate of the Jaldhara building and stabbed him with a machete.

Following the attack, all the accused skedaddled from the scene. After that, Arbaaz was immediately admitted to the hospital, and his relatives filed a complaint against the accused. Accordingly, Kondhwa police booked all the accused under the charges of attempted murder and arrested the prime accused, Sohail, in this case. The search for his other two accomplices is underway, and Assistant Police Inspector Suravase is conducting further investigation into the case.
