Pune: Kothrud residents’ huge response to Amol Balwadkar Independence Day Run (Videos)
Participants of all age groups enjoy health initiative
Pune: The Amol Balwadkar Foundation on Thursday organised a marathon run to celebrate Independence Day in a healthy way. Residents of Kothrud participated in the run with great enthusiasm. Thousands of youths, senior citizens, women and children from other parts of the city also took part in the marathon.
The Amol Balwadkar Independence Day Run 2.0 was held at Pandit Farm, Kothrud. It was jointly organised by the Amol Balwadkar Foundation and the Atenx Fitness for the residents of the Kothrud Assembly constituency. The marathon was held in three stages of 3 km, 5 km and 10 km.
In particular, senior citizens responded overwhelmingly to a walkathon. They enjoyed various competitions held on the occasion. All participants were given medals while winners were awarded with prizes.
