Pune:

By threatening the man to either give his purchased land in Nere Dattawadi to the accused or to give them Rs 2 crore in cash, three individuals assaulted the individual and further threatened him in Hinjewadi. Further, the accused also took away his gold chain, worth Rs 1 lakh, from his neck.

In this case, Praveen Valmik Bhondve (age 45, a resident of Bhondve Plaza, Hinjewadi) has filed a police complaint at Hinjewadi Police Station. Accordingly, police registered a case of extortion against Pradeep Baban Bhintod (a resident of Kasarasai, Taluka Mulshi), Dnyaneshwar Nivrutti Kalbhor (a resident of Akurdi Gaon), and Bhushan Prabhakar Bodke (a resident of Rihe Village, Taluka Mulshi).

This incident took place on July 2, 2023, in the plaintiff’s house, and the plaintiff has registered a complaint about that matter now.

As per the police information, on July 2, 2023, the four accused entered the plaintiff’s house and threatened to either give his purchased land in Nere Dattawadi to them or to give them Rs 2 crore in cash. They further abused and assaulted the accused. Shockingly, the accused also snatched a gold chain worth one lakh rupees from the plaintiff’s neck by threatening to kill him.

In this regard, the accused was going to lodge the complaint against the accused last year. However, the accused forcibly stopped him by threatening him. Therefore, the plaintiff did not file the complaint against them at that time out of fear.

Assistant Police Inspector Dhumal is investigating further into the case.
