Pune :
The individual had taken a loan of Rs 2 lakh 21 thousand from a moneylender for his mother’s medical treatment. However, after he was not able to repay the loan amount in time, the moneylender allegedly threatened the individual and forcefully took away his cars. In this regard, the Lashkar Police have registered a case against the accused moneylender following a complaint from the victim.

The moneylender has been identified as Sunny, alias Dashrath Shyam Mhetre (age 35, a resident of Harka Nagar, Bhavani Peth). A 30-year-old youth from New Modikhana has filed a complaint at the Lashkar police station in this regard. This incident has been happening since August 2024 until now.

As per the police information, the plaintiff was in need of money for his mother’s treatment. Therefore, he took a loan of 2 lakh 21 thousand rupees from Mhetre on interest. But, since the plaintiff was not able to repay the loan amount in time, Mhetre forcibly took away two cars belonging to the complainant and his wife.

When the plaintiff requested Mhetre to return the cars, he refused it, saying that he would not return the cars until the interest and principal were paid back. Shockingly, the accused has been constantly abusing and threatening to kill the plaintiff over the non-payment of money.

Frustrated by the moneylender’s constant harassment, the complainant finally rushed to the Lashkar police and filed a complaint. Police Sub-Inspector Rahul Ghadge is investigating further in this case.
