Pune : A shocking incident has come to light from Parvatibai Genba Moze College of Engineering in Wagholi, where students were allegedly being allowed to re-write exam papers late at night. The Crime Branch Unit 6 raided the premises and arrested a professor along with three senior students.

The arrested individuals are identified as:

Pratik Kisan Satav (37, Professor)

Aditya Yashwant Khilare (20)

Amol Ashok Nagargoje (18)

During the raid, the police recovered:

6 bundles of answer sheets for the “Engineering Mathematics 2” subject under Savitribai Phule Pune University

₹2.06 lakh in cash

A key to the control room where answer sheets were stored.

How the racket worked:
After the official exam was conducted, students who felt they might fail were allegedly charged ₹10,000–₹15,000 to re-write their papers at night. This illegal activity had reportedly been going on for several days.

Professor Pratik Satav, with the help of senior students, would allow these students to re-write the paper. Aditya Khilare was responsible for collecting the money and coordinating the students. Around 3 AM on Tuesday, police raided the campus and caught the culprits red-handed.

Students Amol Nagargoje and Aniket Rode, also from the same college, reportedly used fake keys to open the control room, pulled out specific answer sheets of paying students, and returned them after the students completed re-writing the papers.

So far, eight students have been identified as beneficiaries of this illegal setup. Cases have been registered under multiple sections, including the Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act.
