Pune: Man Steals Woman’s Phone, Threatens to Circulate Obscene Photos to Evade Loan Repayment
Pune: In disturbing news, a man from Satara stole the mobile phone of a woman and threatened to circulate her obscene photos on the internet to avoid repaying the loan he had taken from her. In this regard, a 28-year-old woman from Sahakar Nagar filed a complaint against the accused at Parvati Police Station.
As per the complaint, police registered a case against Ajay Dadasaheb Deshmukh, a resident of Arvi, Taluka Koregaon, District Satara. The police informed that the accused and the plaintiff’s husband were friends. Subsequently, the accused met the plaintiff through her husband.
In August 2021, the accused, Ajay Deshmukh, took Rs 2 lakh from the plaintiff by saying his father was serious. After that, again and again, Deshmukh took a total of Rs 6 lakh 30 thousand from the plaintiff. Shockingly, when Deshmukh came to take the amount from the plaintiff in October 2021, the plaintiff’s phone got stolen.
However, when the plaintiff started demanding her money back from the accused, Deshmukh sent a photo of the private part of the plaintiff to her on December 2023, which was taken by the plaintiff on her phone to show it to the doctor for her pregnancy treatment. Seeing that photo, the plaintiff realised that the accused had stolen her phone.
On July 24, 2024, the accused once again sent that photo to the plaintiff and threatened her to make that photo viral. After that, the plaintiff woman complained at the Parvati police station against the accused. She complained that to avoid the repayment of money, the accused threatened to make her obscene photos viral. Police Inspector Amol More is conducting further investigation into the case.
