Pune: Midnight Altercation Turns Fatal: Criminal Killed in Bar Brawl on Sinhagad Road

Pune: In the altercation that erupted between an inebriated criminal and other people in the bar, the on-record criminal was murdered. This incident took place outside the Classic Bar on the Veer Baji Pasalkar Bridge of Sinhagad Road around 12.30 at midnight.

In this regard, Sinhagad Road Police have apprehended three individuals. As per the police information, the on-record criminal, Gotya alias Amol Shejwal (age 34), a resident of Dhayari Phata, Sinhagad Road, was having drinks with his friends. The eyewitness informed that, under the influence of alcohol, Shejwal started arguing with customers and started troubling them.

At that time, Akash Kulkarni tried to stop Shejwal. However, he was not in a condition to listen to anyone. He started arguing with Akash Kulkarni. When Akash took Shejwal out of the bar, Shejwal started arguing with the bouncers of the bar. In the heated arguments between them, Akash brought a hammer from the adjacent tire puncture shop and hit Shejwal on the head.

As the blow was severe, Shejwal died on the spot. On getting information about the incident, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police, as well as Senior Police Inspector of Sinhagad Road Police Station Anandrao Khobare, Police Inspector Raghavendra Kshirsagar, Assistant Police Inspector Rahul Yadav, Sameer Chavan, Police Sub-Inspector Suresh Jaibhai, Akshay Chavan, etc., police officials rushed to the spot. In this regard, three individuals were arrested by police.

Police informed that one of the accused, Akash Kulkarni, had one restaurant in the area. But later, it was stopped for some reason. Akash is currently a co-partner and also works as a bouncer at the Classic Bar.
