Pune: Minor Argument Led to Brutal Stabbing in Bhavani Peth; Chicken Shop Owner Arrested

A shocking incident has come to light in Pune’s Bhavani Peth area, where a shopkeeper seriously injured a young man by stabbing him in the stomach with a knife after a dispute erupted between them over standing around the shop. In this incident, the person has received major injuries. This incident took place on Thursday, around 3.45 p.m. at Dinshaw Apartment in Bhawani Peth.

In this regard, a 38-year-old individual, Ankush Ram Magar (a resident of Chudaman Talim Chowk, Bhavani Peth), lodged a complaint at Khadak Police Station. Accordingly, police arrested Farhaz Akram Qureshi (age 28), a resident of the same area.

As per the police complaint, the accused, Farhaz Qureshi, has a chicken shop named ‘Labbaik Chicken Centre’, in the Bhavani Peth area. On Thursday, the plaintiff and his friend, Anil, were talking with each other, standing in front of the accused’s chicken shop. At that time, the accused directed them away from his shop and asked them not to stop talking in front of his shop.

At that time, the plaintiff retorted him, saying, “We were not in front of your shop.” In the subsequent argument between them, the accused brought the knife from his shop and stabbed in the stomach of the plaintiff by abusing him. As the plaintiff started screaming following the heavy bleeding, the nearby people came there and admitted the plaintiff at the hospital.

In this regard, police arrested the accused, Farhaz Qureshi, and Police Sub-Inspector Akash Vite is investigating further in the incident.
