Pune: Minor boy damages 10-12 vehicles in Gultekdi area
Pune: Growing involvement of minors in serious crimes such as terrosing, murder, robbery and damaging vehicles in the city is concerning. In yet another such incident, a minor boy damaged 10-12 parked vehicles in Gultekdi within the Swargate Police Station limits.
He was upset over the taunts of his neighbours that he did not work. The incident took place on Wednesday (July 10) at midnight.
The Swargate Police detained the minor. According to preliminary details, the minor indulged in the crime to spread terror. He heavily damaged 10-12 vehicles parked in front of Crescent High School, including a tempo, a three-wheeler, and a light commercial vehicle. He was involved in such incidents earlier too.
According to the police, the minor has lost his father and lives with his mother. Since he is not earning, his neighbours would taunt him. Upset over this, he got drunk and damaged the vehicles with a stone. The police are investigating further.
