Pune: MLA Sunil Kamble concludes poll campaign with grand rally

Pune: Campaign concluded for the State Assembly elections on Monday (November 18). The election campaign for Pune Cantonment Assembly segment BJP-Maha Yuti candidate Arogyadoot MLA Dilip Kamble ended with a grand bike rally. The rally, which began from Azad Nagar, Wanawadi, concluded at the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue in Camp.

Former State Minister Dilip Kamble, RPI (A) City Unit President Sanjay Sonawane, Mahesh Punde, Balasaheb Janrao, along with BJP, Shiv Sena (BT), NCP (AP) and RPI (A) office-bearers and workers were present in a large number.

Sunil Kamble said, “I have resolved to extend the Metro service within the constituency. Moreover, the financial condition of auto-rickshaw drivers and owners will be improved by making available the latest technology for maintenance and repair of their vehicles through the corporation set up for them. Many women were given funds through the Mukhyamantri Mazi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Lakhs of women could take the first step towards self-reliance. I will try to make women folk financially independent and stronger by implementing various government schemes.

“I have got funds granted for the beautification of the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar statue in the Pune Railway Station area from the State Government Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department under the Tourism Development Scheme. Earlier, I did the beautification of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue while I am trying to set up a memorial for Lahuji Vastad Salve. Beautification works are underway and the area will be beautified and tourism will be boosted. The people will elect me again on the basis of work done in the past five years.”
