Pune: MLA Sunil Tingre inaugurates Rs 2-crore development works in Yerwada, Gandhi Nagar
Pune: MLA Sunil Tingre on Friday (August 6) inaugurated Rs 2.40-crore development works in Yerwada, Gandhi Nagar under the Vadgaon Sheri Assembly constituency. They included auditoriums, a drainage line, community halls, Buddha Vihar, etc.
The works will be done under the Annabhau Sathe Nagri Vasti Sudhar Yojana and MLA Local Development Funds. Speaking at the bhumi-pujan function, MLA Sunil Tingre said, “People belonging to various religions and castes stay in Yerwada. Common citizens live in a large number here. In this backdrop, these development works have been undertaken. This area did not have a vegetable market. Soon a well-equipped vegetable market will be set up here. Many other development projects will be carried out in the near future.”
MLA Tingre performed bhumi-pujan for an auditorium near Shitla Devi Mandir at Vadarwadi in Yerwada, remaining construction of the Valmiki community auditorium, first floor of the Buddha Vihar at Ashok Nagar, an auditorium of Samata Mitra Mandal, an auditorium of Janseva Mitra Mandal, Kamraj Nagar, an auditorium adjoining Tiranga Mitra Mandal, remaining construction of a community hall near Jaishakti Mitra Mandal, an auditorium near Durgakali Mata Pratishthan, an auditorium at Subhash Nagar, Khadki, an auditorium of the Waghri community at Manik Nagar, an auditorium near Dakshinmukhi Ganpati, a community hall at Yashwant Nagar, an auditorium at Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Chowk, Laxmi Nagar and a community hall at Parnkuti foothills.
MLA Sunil Tingre said, “A two-storey flyover from Shirur to Ramwadi has been approved. Earlier, the flyover was proposed till Wagholi. But I followed it up with DyCM Ajitdada Pawar so that traffic congestion can be solved within the city limits. Finally, my efforts bore fruit. The Maha Yuti government has given a big gift to my Vadgaon Sheri assembly constituency on the eve of Ganpati Festival. I am thankful to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, DyCM Ajit Pawar and DyCM Devendra Fadnavis.”
