Pune Municipal Corporation’s Ideal Teacher Awards 2024-25 announced; function to be held on Teachers’ Day
Pune: The Primary Education Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced the Ideal Teacher Award (Adarsh Shikshak Puraskar) for the year 2024-25.
As many as 15 teachers from the PMC and private schools within the jurisdiction of the civic body will be honoured with the award for their commendable performance. Out of the 15 teachers, 10 are from the municipal schools and five from private schools.
The Education Department received 90 proposals online for the Ideal Teacher Award. The recipients have been selected on the basis of merit by the Selection Committee as per the government criteria and after verifying documents, conducting interviews and visiting classes.
The recipients will be presented with a citation, a badge of honour and a tab at 11 am on Thursday (September 5) at Balgandharva Rangmandir by Additional Director General, Yashada, Shekhar Gaikwad and in the presence of Administrator and Municipal Commissioner Dr Rajendra Bhosale. This was revealed by Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Primary Education Department) Asha Raut.
