Pune: MVA holds ward-wise review meeting for Parvati Assembly segment in presence of its candidate Ashwini Kadam
Pune: Candidates in the State Assembly elections will get two weeks to campaign. Therefore, they are focusing on meetings and rallies in their respective constituencies.
There is a direct fight between BJP’s Madhuri Misal and NCP (SP)’s Ashwini Kadam in the Parvati Assembly constituency. Their campaigns have been launched and are picking speed.
A ward-wise review meeting of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) for the Parvati Assembly segment took place at the Anusaya Hall in Maharshi Nagar on Monday (October 4), where Ashwini Kadam was present. Office-bearers and workers from ward number 28 were present.
The main issues in the constituency are traffic snarls, security, public transport and a lack of rainwater drains along roads. It was learnt that workers insisted that the campaign should focus on these issues and citizens’ problems should be solved. The discussion revolved around these demands of the common people.
The Parvati segment is seen as a BJP stronghold. Madhuri Misal has been the MLA from the constituency for three consecutive terms. She has been challenged by NCP (SP) candidate Ashwini Kadam this time.
