Pune: NCP (AP) leader Rupali Patil Thombare issues warning to MNS office-bearers
Pune: NCP (AP) and MNS workers had a verbal argument in Akola. NCP (AP) leader Amol Mitkari had criticised MNS President Raj Thackeray for his comments against NCP (AP) President and DyCM Ajit Pawar in Pune. Enraged MNS workers damaged Mitkari’s car.
Now, its echo is reflected in Pune. Some MNS leaders from Pune threatened that they would beat up Amol Mitkari in Pune. NCP (AP) leader Rupali Patil Thombare warned the city MNS leaders over this. She said, “This is not a fiefdom of your father. There is rule of law in the State. It is not an arena of criminals. One should speak about development in politics. MNS workers should understand this. Action should be taken against all those who issued threats to Mitkari. Do not criminalise politics. Show your physical prowess at home. MNS workers should mind their language. Go to jail by launching agitations to demand development.
“Raj Saheb visited Pune during the floods. He criticised our leader. We replied to his criticism. Today, dignity is not maintained in politics. People talk about muscle power. MNS workers damaged Mitkari’s car and made an attempt on his life. As many as 22 workers were booked. One of them died due to a heart attack. It is a fight for principles. If you criticise others, you should also tolerate criticism by others.”
